Joelisoa Ratsirarson is a Professor of Forestry at the School of Agronomy of the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar. His research interest is mainly focused in biodiversity conservation, including conservation policy and governance and the impact of environmental change, including climate change and deforestation on biodiversity resilience at Bezà Mahafaly. He has worked on the population dynamics of rare, endangered and invasive species, mainly in Madagascar.
